SE Uplift Board Committees are open to current board members and serve to support the governance of the organization. Regardless of board membership, our board and executive committee meetings are open to the public – anyone can attend.
If interested in joining a committee, please view the committee descriptions below for additional details and staff contact information. Southeast Uplift’s Standing Rules for Committees: The Standing Rules for Committees correspond to the SE Uplift bylaws Section VII: Committees.
Executive Committee
The Board of Directors’ Executive Committee meets monthly on 3rd Tuesdays from 6:00-7:30pm via Zoom. Access meeting agendas, the Zoom link and minutes here. Voting at Executive Committee meetings is restricted to committee members. However, members of the public are welcome!
The Executive Committee, consisting of the officers of the organization and a past-chair, provides primary administrative governance of our organization. Executive Committee members review and make recommendations to the full SE Uplift Board on any significant out-of-budget expenditures, support, oversee and review the Executive Director, and review and approve fiscal sponsorship applications, personnel policy changes and more*. Executive Committee has the authority of the Board of Directors to make decisions on routine and emergency business items. All actions taken by the Executive Committee are reported to the full Board.
The Executive Committee includes the Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and the most recent Past Chair. If the Past Chair cannot serve, the Board will vote to choose a fifth member from previous officers. You can see the current Executive Committee members on our Board of Directors page.
