Portland Planning Commission
We continue our series on planning and development in Portland with the Portland Planning Commission. The Planning Commission guides city growth through development and maintenance of the Comprehensive Plan, updates to the Zoning Code while looking through a climate and equity lens. The Commission relies on public input to do this work effectively and ensure that it matches the community vision. They are multiple ways to participate in the process and help shape Portland’s future. Join us for an interactive discussion.
Cesar E Chavez Boulevard Community Discussion
Cesar E Chavez Boulevard is an important north-south corridor in District 3, designated as a Civic Corridor and serves multiple roles in Portland’s transportation network. Line 75 serves the boulevard and it is a priority street for pedestrians and emergency response routes. Yet Cesar Chavez is on Portland’s High Crash Network of Streets with several intersections along the southeast portion rising onto the list as sites of repeat serious injuries and crashes, having claimed lives recently. Join us as for a community conversation that balances the diverse transportation needs and roles of the street, review existing classifications, and explore a community vision for the street.
