SE Uplift is required to follow the guidelines of a grant from the City of Portland Office of Neighborhood Involvement and submit quarterly reports on our activities. The narrative portion of our report addresses goals of strengthening community capacity, increasing the number and diversity of people involved in neighborhood and community livability issues, fostering networking and collaboration between community groups, and encouraging and facilitating communication among community members and groups. As an umbrella organization for the 20 neighborhoods of our area, our staff engages in a wide array of support roles which fall into many types of community events and activities.
In a previous newsletter, we shared our second quarter (October, November and December 2017) report. We wanted to share our third quarter report which documents some highlights from the months of January, February, and March 2018. Click here to read the full report from SE Uplift and learn more about continued work supporting community efforts to understand and shape land use and transportation decisions, helping coordinate neighborhood cleanups and facilitating community meetings and conversations.
